DiSC Analysis What does your DiSC report tell you about your strengths and capacities in relation to coaching, specifically?

I am high on scales I and IV which means I would likely want to be a consultative participant in coaching, maintaining timeliness most of all, but also applying systematic thinking as needed. I will approach most situations with a rather high intensity and prefer a quick pace, variety, new challenges, and opportunities. I am task-oriented and creative and will approach projects with enthusiasm and determination. I am decisive and not likely to seek out others to confirm my decisions once they have been made. I have the propensity to be very accurate and precise. I prefer to wait until cool heads prevail in stressful situations and require a full explanation before changes are made

What aspects of the report seem to describe you well?

The assessment suggests that I am effective at establishing processes and procedures for getting work done, which I believe is true. Generally, I believe that responsibilities of team members or subordinates should be assigned in a systematic manner. I'm not one to play favorites, but I'm also not afraid to tell people when they aren't doing a good job. I challenge others to do their very best and I organize my work in a structured fashion. I am capable of producing...

My preference is for a systematic and structured approach to things and I like to see things done correctly. I am decisive and quick to take action, but I may need to attend to quality more often in my pursuit of timely results. My motivation is having a high sense of urgency, pressures, and critical deadlines. I look opportunities to be in control of people and situations.
What aspects of the report do not seem to describe you well?

The report suggests that I may sometimes have difficulty securing cooperation from team members when my goals don't match theirs, which I do not feel is generally true. It also suggests that I express information clearly but some people may see me as overbearing. I have never heard or been told that people see me this way. The report suggests that although I am task-focused, I may be seen as aloof and out of touch with my group. Again, I have a hard time believing this because I never hear anything like that about myself from people. The suggestion that I like freedom from controls, close supervision, and organizational constraints is not that true, I work in a very structured environment with close supervision and it isn't a problem for me.
