In the execution of its duties in accordance to the programs, HHS also offers an essential component in relation to leadership for the improvement of the health of the citizens of the United States with multiple chronic conditions.

This relates to the role of the multiple chronic conditions on the health and development of the economy. In order to reduce the burden and suffering in relation to the aspect of multiple chronic conditions, the government of the United States, through its department of Health and Human Services seeks to support numerous programs. The aim of the programs by the HHS includes prevention and management of multiple chronic conditions in the context of the United States. In the execution of its duties in accordance to the programs, HHS also offers an essential component in relation to leadership for the improvement of the health of the citizens of the United States with multiple chronic conditions.
The programs by the HHS in the United States defines multiple chronic conditions as numerous conditions lasting for one or more years thus requiring critical medical attention hence limiting daily operations by individuals suffering from such conditions. These conditions include physical conditions, cognitive, and mental disorders. Some of the diseases or conditions under the management of this program by the United States' government include dementia, ongoing depression, substance addiction, HIV infections, cancer, and arthritis. It is essential to note that multiple chronic conditions refer to two or numerous conditions affecting the health condition of an individual concurrently. It is the duty of the government to enhance the health conditions of its citizens thus the notion behind adoption and implementation of various programs by the government in the management and prevention of multiple chronic conditions.
