Classification The Word 'Classification' Comes From The Essay

Classification The word 'Classification' comes from the word class and it refers to the division of living and non-living things on the predefined criterion. These criteria could be a shared quality such as all animals, plants, human, bacteria; germs etc. are classified as living things because they can be differentiated form a chair, a pen and a phone on the basis of the quality that they breathe. The classification can be on the difference in color, as in blacks and whites, difference in texture like smooth and rough materials, on the basis of sounds, weight (heavy machinery), nature like conductors and insulators etc. Classification is done after a distinguishing feature is picked and then according to that materials are put into groups or classes.

This term is especially important in the study of Science and then in Biology. However, we can use and do use classification in our day-to-day home chores, at our jobs and on outings. Garbage and useless items, this is also a class, are classified as paper, metals, breakables, plastics, recyclables and non-recyclables. These labels are often found on dustbins because these groups explain the exact way the materials should be disposed off. Children are put in groups in schools according to age levels. They are often divided into groups for activities, for participation in sports etc. according to their talents, skills, interests, abilities etc.

Media is the ruling force of the world today and it is also classified into many different categories, like print media, electronic media, radios, mobile phones etc. this media is not just a source of communication...

The word 'Entertainment' encompasses many activities and media forms that help people enjoy themselves. These include:, stories, video games, cartoons and zoos for the enjoyment of kids, music, phones, IPods, amusement parks and sports that mostly attract teenagers, movies, newspapers, talk shows and novels for adults.
The section of 'Entertainment' that I have chosen to demonstrate classification is Music and for assistance in the process I have made use of my MP3 machine. These gadgets are very efficient means of organizing our belongings. So, I have defined criteria for classification or grouping and then sorted through my songs to fit them into categories.

Analysis

Songs can be grouped by Genre or their musical style: Classical Rock, Heavy Metal, Pop Rock, Punk Rock, Indie, Jazz, Blues, and Ballads etc. I am going to classify my list by the style and genre of music because this makes it easier for me to find a song that belongs in a particular category.

There some 200 to 300 songs in my collection and accessing all of them quickly is a difficult task which is made easier by my classification.

The chief music style that I listen to is Rock Music and different classifications of this kind of music, for instance Pop Rock and Classical Rock. Some examples of Classical Rock include Sweet Home Alabama, a lot of the Elvis collection. Contemporary rock in my collection includes Jeremy by Pearl Jam, Home and other songs of Chris Daughtry and songs of Cold Play etc.

Rock is a style of music that makes…
