It is only logical that a large amount of power comes along with high profiles and that this power can be detrimental when it falls into the hands of people more interested in their personal gain than in the well being of their community. The fact that the mayor died of a single shot in the head influences me in believing that the murder had not been accidental, nor had it been the result of a robbery. It appears that the mayor had been the victim of an execution. Also, the criminal had most probably known whom he was pointing the gun at and why he was doing it. In order to have better chances of solving the case, I have to find out what the motives for the crimes have been, and who could have benefited from the mayor's death.

One of the greatest problems faced by police departments from around the world is that police officers are constantly oriented towards behaving according to the textbook. The old methods which they employ in their missions prevent them from opening their minds to newer ones which could actually give them more chances of success.

Supervisors in each department are likely to be perceived as narrow minded, people that are only interested in exploiting their inferiors. Because they work in shifts, police officers have lesser chances of spending quality time with their families. The conflicts that they come across at work, along with the fact that they their wages are not reflecting the risks they are taking and the special conditions they are working under lead to the police officers coming under a lot of stress.
One of the best and easiest solutions to reduce the amount of stress police officers are subjected to would be to provide them with special education and training. Psychological counseling would also have a major role in having police officers offer better and more efficient services to the public.
