When Pakistani firms establish a new value idea that the U.S. firms do not have, U.S. citizens will buy their products. This in itself is the freedom of making a living. The United States has established an elaborate strategy to encourage free trade. These strategies include: Seizing the global initiative: negotiations of the new global trade that assisted commence in 2001 November in Doha will include an agenda that is ambitious, specifically in agriculture, services and manufacturing and its completion is targeted to be in 2005.

This year, United States has declared to promote negotiations for market access with its partners, agriculture being the target, government procurement, investment, services, and industrial goods. The U.S. government shall also be of assistance to Pakistan, among the poorest countries. This will be achieved through beginning with complete use of the allowed preferences in the Act of African Growth and Opportunity. This will eventually result in free trade.

The administration is set to work this year to ensure the completion of the agreements for free trade with Singapore and Chile.
