In high school I studied chemistry, and I was fascinated by the possibilities of chemical engineering. From fuel cell technology to metallurgy to oil refinement, I find that a significant portion of the future of humanity lies in this field. I have been interested in chemical engineering since I read about the Manhattan Project in the United States in the 1940s, which is a scientific project that changed the world dramatically. I entered college and went on to study chemical engineering, growing both my interest in the field as well as my knowledge and technical ability. The idea of alternative fuel has been large in my training, and I believe this is how I became interested in the idea of industrial engineering. During my engineering seminar, I was introduced to operations research, which I felt was incredibly interesting and relevant to what I want to do in life. I want to maximize the system of manufacturing, and I believe this Master's degree will allow me to do that.
I believe that earning a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering will allow me to unlock new opportunities to hone my craft.
