A possible strategy for dealing with the preceptor's educational needs (in the second scenario) is to offer them with some kind of tuition assistance and scheduling that is flexible. Under this plan, they will be able to attend school at time that is convenient for them. At the same time, they can be provided with on-the-job training through working with experienced preceptors. This will ensure that these individuals can maintain their full time employment and will have the flexibility to adjust with critical challenges they are facing. (Myrick, 2005) (Young, 2007)
