Description of the existing execution environment

The current execution mechanism in the running of the medical services involves a wide variety of closely monitored and implementable steps that define the roles and responsibility of every department and individual across the board. The culture of serving is well executed across all the medical centers to a very satisfactory degree. This is mainly fostered by the strict regulations that govern the conduct of all the medical and nonmedical staff at the main health center and its subsidiaries.

Another important element of the current execution culture is the existence of a special department whose sole role is to study, report, analyse and document all the changes and challenges that occur in the daily execution of the medical centre operations. The department has the role of making observations and recommendation that are forwarded to the hospital board for consideration. The main principle that has to be attained or aimed at by the department is to better equip the medical center with the necessary skills and information needed for the proper facing of all the challenges that are caused or rather associated with change.

The culture of patience and humility is also prevalent across the whole medical center. This is also once again fostered by the high degree of integrity that is well spelled out in the basic rules that govern the conduct of the staff while performing their duties.

The hospital is also run with the basic principle of non-tolerance to mistakes. This is because the health care sector is directly responsible for the life of persons under their care. This principle is founded from the Hippocratic right that is a mandatory code of ethics in the medical profession. The other element of culture that is prevalent in the running of the medical center is the presence of a culture of learning. This is mainly promoted by the frequent seminars that are organized for the various departments of the firm. In the quest to embrace the current technological and scientific discoveries, the hospital has setup a center that is dedicated to the research and development of better techniques of treating the common ailments that are clinically very prevalent in the various regions.

The other very notable aspect of the execution culture in the medical sector is the distinctive nature of idea and instructional flow. The instruction and ideas are made to surface in a bottom up approach. This means that the running of the hospital is mainly affected by the recommendations that surface from the various department s and then forwarded to the board of management. The hospital has a very accommodative ambience that is infiltrated...

This is fostered by the presence of several volunteering nuns from various parts of the world.
The principle of reward is also notable among the management of the hospital as long serving and experienced staff members are often rewarded with better pay perks and promotions. The management of the hospital has done its best in order to foster proper communication channels between the management and also between the clients and the management. This is mainly through the appointment of various supervisors and group leaders to head the various depertments. The group leaders are mandated to present weekly reports to the hospital board on the nature of the running of the hospitals departments.

The execution environment is also equipped with the best resources needed for the proper running of the medical centers. Since the centers are numerous and geographically dispersed. The management of the medical consortium resorted to the adoption of the best methods of operational management. This involved the installation of proper state of the art technology with the core function of implementing a sound standard operating platform. The process of hiring new staff is headed by the best team of head hunters in the market. This is to ensure that the best staff with the right qualifications and skills is employed. The hospital is also equipped with the right financial managers who are meant to ensure the financial well-being of the organization.

The degree of compliance across the medical centers is basically not very bad. This is because the hospitals are equipped with the certified level of staff, equipment, and drugs and even funding. All the departments are also closely monitored for any form of non-compliance. The compliance aspect of execution is very important for the operation of the hospitals since the health sector is run with no tolerance to mistakes. This is for the obvious reason that it directly involves the life of persons and death is eminent in case of non-compliance cases.

Analysis of the existing gaps

Despite all the achievement that are eminent in the process of executing the operation os the medical centers, there are some elements of management that were not completely covered by the individuals responsible for the definition of the basic functions of the many units of the centres. As a matter of fact, the gaps are the worst forms of foresight that occurred in the execution of the business strategy of the health giant.

The strategy execution gap that is eminent in the management of the health centers can be expressed in terms of the various elements of strategy execution steps. It is in actual sense the degree of variance that exists between the health firm's management's strategic plans and those of the implementing branch of the same firm. It is very saddening for any form of variance to exist between the strategies that were laid down and their implementation. This is because the gaps represent an actual loss of opportunity and the cost associated with it is in many immeasurable terms. Such as the loss of life and property.

The existence of the strategy gap is almost an inevitable part of any business entity. Even the firms that are equipped with the best managers still suffer due to some degree of strategy execution gap. The denial by some firms to acknowledge the degree of seriousness of the strategy execution gap is one of the reasons for the downfall of firms. This is mainly cause by the management's wrong belief that it is not within their time slot to take care of the administrative burden that is associated with the implementation of the formal strategies that govern the day-to-day operation of their firms.

The following are the leadership gaps that exist in the running of the medical services provider as an entity.

Leadership

A major leadership gap exists in the running of the health facility. This is mainly due to the common belief by most of the subordinate staff members who make the majority to tend to think that the other doctors and medical staff are more superior. The situation is made worse due to fact that most of the decision s that are supposed to be implemented as recommended by the staff is never adopted. This lack of clear-cut guideline as to who is responsible for following up the adoption of and implementation of the recommendation is a major cause of leadership friction.

The other major cause of leadership friction is that the management of the health facility is the only organ that has the mandate on the hands-on involvement in the final…
