Since the early 1990's there have been a steady 19.9% of the Arab people living below the poverty lines. However, in the rural parts of the country or the 'shadow zone' where 39% of the Arab population lives the child mortality rate is double that of the urban areas. Women are discriminated against terribly in this area with 52% of the mortality rate being attributed to 'maternal deaths.' The rate of female illiteracy is double that of the men in the region. Conclusion:

Where abject poverty, lack of education, environmental degradation or any of the present global issues in existent are present and certainly as well where inequality exists there is a true potential for inequality to be multiplied by the actions of those in power and that inequality perpetrated purposefully can then said to be inequity. Inequality is a natural state of affairs on earth but inequity is something that man commits against mankind. Inequality and inequity although invariably linked are different in that inequality inherently exists while inequity is purposefully inflicted within society.
