As an adolescent, Mohamed managed to make use of his businessman nature and his remarkable communicational skills. At the age of twenty five he was entrusted with taking care of the caravans of a rich widow which he later married. Being very fond of religion, Mohamed paid a great interest to Judaism and Christianity, but was quick to dispose of both of them as he didn't share the principles of the two. He often visited a temple in Mecca where people were worshiping three hundred and sixty Gods. Mohamed felt attracted by Allah, the moon God, and began to claim that the moon God had been the one true God people should worship. As a very religious man that he had been, Mohamed was known to dedicate several weeks to the divinity by praying in a cave near Mecca where he allegedly had numerous visions of God and of heaven. As he returned from the cave he started to preach to the people speaking about his encounter with the angel Gabriel. Again, in comparison to Jesus' teachings, Mohamed was accustomed to using brute force when encountering resistance especially from political reasons.
After spreading his word and the Mohammedan religion all across the countries of Arabia, Mohamed died in the year 632 a.D. (11-Hejira) and his body was buried in the Mosque from Medina. His tomb is visited every year by large numbers of pilgrims and it is every Muslim's duty to visit Mahomed's tomb at least once in a lifetime.

The Islam now has over a billion followers across the world and is the second greatest religion in the world.

The Bible and the Qu'ran are in contradiction to each other as they each support a single God in the form of God or Allah. From a neutral position the matter of finding the true religion is controversial with people from both sides supporting their religion with numerous arguments. Despite the religious nature of the Christians, Muslims tend to treat religion more seriously with the belief that salvation comes through suffering.

" Relgious leaders worried about loss of power and income ("Biography of Mohammed," 2005). This is an interesting parallel to Jesus' life, because Jesus also worried the religious leaders of his time for similar reasons (Wikipedia, 2000). Because Islam represented a threat to their power as a trading entity, Muhammad preached as a prophet faced with hostility by the established religious authorities of his time and place. His followers were gained under the threat of martyrdom, a fate spared Muhammad only by virtue of the protection of his uncle, a powerful regional leader.
