If one focuses more on illustrative or graphical knowledge than on the expressions of what is being taught, they put themselves at a distinctive weakness since verbal and written knowledge is still the chief favored option for delivery of knowledge. They are often fond of studying by themselves in a calm places and often see knowledge in their heads when they are attempting to remember something (DVC Online, 2000).
One method that I have found that has help me to recall information has been to make use of color coding when learning new things. Using highlighter pens in order to emphasize dissimilar types of knowledge in contrasting colors is most helpful. I like to write out sentences and expressions that sum up the key information obtained from my textbook and lecture so that I can better understand them in my head (DVC Online, 2000).
