The phenomenon of globalization is a very controversial one, as some people are against it despite the fact that they are aware that the process is unavoidable. From the early ages people have felt the need to socialize and civilizations have been absorbed into one another. The process of globalization has both advantages and disadvantages, but, people are dedicated to making it happen regardless to the consequences that their actions have. The human race started building civilization several millennia ago, and, from there on, humans have become addicted to it. Cambodian leader Pol-Pot has attempted to free' his people of technology and of most things brought by globalization. When looking into this case, one can see that the act has had disastrous consequences and that extreme nationalism is damaging for the well-being of humanity.
Globalization cannot be stopped because of the fact that nations have become accustomed to interacting with other nations and that people want to express their need for diversity.
Philosophers like Mahatma Gandhi lobbied against the globalism coming from the West because he was certain that it would destroy everything that was natural about India.
