911 On Older Kids The Essay

In spite of the theories regarding an American conspiracy, there is still no solid proof to sustain the speculations. In most cases, including the 9/11 terrorist attack, teenagers are among the first to be affected and influenced by it. Ever since the 9/11 attacks, many American children have been convinced that the Arabs are their enemies and will not stop from harassing the U.S. until they are dealt with. "Growing up in a military family, second-year business economics student Bridgette Tuquero knew since she was young that she wanted to continue the family tradition. The Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks only reaffirmed her beliefs." (Indravudh, 2006)

Dan Nelson, a fourth-year history student, joined ROTC last spring, but said he has always intended to enter the military after graduation - an ambition that stems from the impact he felt after the events of Sept. 11." (Indravudh, 2006)

Apparently, the 9/11 events have influenced numerous young people in joining the military....

The U.S. government has also helped in persuading teenagers to join the army ranks with impressive recruitment campaigns which called American people to arms in order for them to provide assistance in protecting their country.
According to Donna Miles, the number of new recruits in the military has increased significantly after the 11 of September, 2001 (Miles). Recruiting has decreased in the recent years, but the U.S. army is still meeting its goals every year. Some Americans condemn the fact that their children leave for Afghanistan and other countries in which they put their lives in danger, but most U.S. citizens are willing to let their children fight for a just cause.

Several areas, if poorly designed, can lead to violent and criminal behavior, including parking lots, isolated spots on campus, locker rooms, and corridors. Designing schools with more open areas, more planned classrooms, and a more defined perimeter can create a safer, less violent campus by creating a more functional and
