¶ … improvement in several areas since my last reflection. I feel like I can depend on him more. There are several reasons why. The first is his English is better. This means he understands things more and I can communicate with him more. Sometimes when I feel like there is an obstacle between us and progress on our work, it is because of the lack of communication. However, as time has passed, he has improved in that area and we have reached a mutual understanding that is beneficial to us.

I personally think that this helps us achieve our goals more smoothly, this one small, improvement. We are also very patient with each other. We do not quarrel and we are able to reach an understanding. Although there are times when things feel frustrating for the both of us, it does not come off as aggressive or insulting on either of our ends. We both come from a place of patience and understanding and it has only increased in time.

Getting to know another individual really helps me breach out and realize my own potential and the potential of others. It is only but a small fraction of energy to simply wait and see what happens rather than trying to take a bullheaded approach to everything. We both also have good attitudes. Especially my partner. He does not give up on things. He tries his hardest to achieve team goals. He seems very enthusiastic.

This kind of positive attitude is contagious because it makes me want to get work done and pursue our goals. Sometimes I have to feel good in order to do something. If I feel stifled or sad, I do not the energy nor the wherewithal to see objectives to fruition. When I have a partner that is positive, it picks me up and motivates me to continue to work my hardest. He and I are also very punctual.

This is a sign of respect and we would not want to be late for each other because time is precious. We understand each of us have things to do and school is very time consuming. Therefore, when we meet, we arrive on time and we do not take too long to practice. It is good for us to maintain such behavior because it promotes not only growth because we can achieve goals better when done in a timely manner, but it strengthens our rapport for each other.

Speaking of work ethic, we both have a strong work ethic. It is necessary for any task that requires working in a team. One cannot slack while the other works hard. We both contribute to an assignment equally. Other people may feel the need to "piggyback" on others. This is not my belief. I believe people should work hard to fulfill objectives equally. Without doing more or less. A balanced approach is the best approach for me. I love being able to contribute just as much as my partner.

I also love that he feels the same way. There are people out there that will readily take advantage of someone in order to work less. My partner obviously is male and I enjoy working with either gender. I have no preferences. He was a bit shy at first, so was I, but we have gradually learned to be comfortable with each other. We had to because we were doing a one-on-one performance. If we did not build a rapport successfully, it would show in the performance.

He and I both tried to make sure we both felt comfortable with each other. I found that most helpful. His other performance was with two differing characteristic girls for the same play. Each performance was different because the girls he was paired with behaved different from each other. I think personality has a big role to play in the level of and quality of a performance. Sometimes it is intense, other times it is gentle. For example, the first girl was soft and gentle in her performance.

He played off that well, getting positive remarks from the professor. The second girl whom I played is strong-minded and more intense. Therefore, when he performed with me, he was evaluated and seen as not good enough in his performance. It did not seem believable enough to the professor. The professor gave.
