¶ … book of Proverbs provides an instructional guide for all persons willing to deepen their connection with God. As educators, we have an obligation to apply Christian principles to our own lives -- both the personal and our professional dimensions of our existence. By applying Biblical principles to our personal life, we become instructive role models and mentors who embody the teachings of Christ. We avoid debauchery and other signs of sin, and we lead our students and coworkers toward a spiritual existence. Moral Theology and Scripture The Second Vatican Council stated that scripture should be the soul of moral theology. This study will discuss and illustrate how scripture can be properly used in moral theology. According to the work of Curran (1999) Catholic moral theology "has only recently begun to ask explicit questions about the use of Scripture in moral theology. In the manuals of moral theology before Vatican II the primary source

Shepherd: Pastor, Elder, Overseer The Shepherd The words elder, overseer, and pastor all describe the same authority of leadership within the universal church. However, since different denominations use these terms as though there are separate entities, the three offices are thought to have distinct meanings. Within the ultimate authority of the Bible and the Scripture, the terms elder, overseer, and pastor overlap in meaning. Indeed, Apostles Paul and Peter continuously interchange the

However, by exercising linking behavior, I was able to get the group members to look to each other for understanding and help. Initially, I had to point out when people were saying things that would indicate

Leadership StylesIntroductionLeadership is a crucial aspect of both policing and law enforcement administration. Current research in leadership styles includes, but is not limited to, situational, transformational and autocratic (traditional) styles. Differences in the contexts of action can affect which style works best at any given time. Ultimately, it is important to identify the needs of any given situation, the skills and qualities of the individual leader, and decide on the

Servant Leadership Defining Servant Leadership The principles of Servant Leadership were laid out by founder Robert Greenleaf in his important 1970 book, The Servant as Leader. Greenleaf, to his great credit, wanted to stress the point that leaders should first serve, and later lead through service. The leaders who have power but have not led, and use the power to push his or her own viewpoints and agenda, are not the kind

Chemistry and Biology on Christian Mind The Effects Chemistry and Biology on Christian Mind Science and Christianity share a very conflicting relationship.
