Even with the fact that it would be especially helpful for them to further study after finishing high-school, it would be wrong to ignore the gravity of the situation by focusing on higher education as long as students are not even able to stay in school.
In order to actually be able to assist students who come from low-income communities, one would have to have a complex understanding of the situation that he or she is in. Simply trying to promote the idea that higher education is good is not enough to help these students. Instead, one needs to get actively involved in trying to enable students to realize the positive effects that education in general can have on their lives.
