¶ … controversy regarding students in low-income areas and the best strategies that someone could possibly consider with the purpose of providing them with more chances to assimilate educational information. When considering the wide range of distraction involves in the lives of these students, it would be particularly difficult to think about what academic success would mean for them.
Some are likely to believe that finishing high-school is in most cases enough for individuals in these communities while others are probable to consider that they would require further education, as there is virtually no difference between them and the rest of the world. The reality is that students who come from low-income communities have problems attending school and many parents in these areas have a limited educational influence on their children. As a consequence, finishing high-school can be a particularly beneficial experience for many students.
Even with the fact that it would be especially helpful for them to further study after finishing high-school, it would be wrong to ignore the gravity of the situation by focusing on higher education as long as students are not even able to stay in school. In order to actually be able to assist students who come from low-income communities, one would have to have a complex understanding of the situation that he or she is in.
Simply trying to promote the idea that higher education is good is not enough to help these students. Instead, one needs to get actively involved in trying to enable students to realize the positive effects that education in general can have on their lives.
Employing such an attitude is likely to open people's minds and to help them acknowledge that it would be essential for them to direct their attention toward improving their academic experience, regardless of the fact that some educational goals might seem pointless when seen from the perspective of someone who is actually well-acquainted with how harsh life can be. I like to believe that my involvement in going to have a positive effect on all students coming from low-income communities.
Even with this, I am aware that my influence is limited by the numerous impediments that these students come across in their struggle to learn more. While everyone would want the world to be better, it is also important to acknowledge the fact that problems do exist and that success is a divisive matter. Some people might think of success as being equivalent to earning a Ph. D. while others are satisfied with finishing high-school.
It is thus important to consider the multitude of factors involved before trying to create an image of the concept.
