Self-Concept & Self-Esteem
Self-Concept and Self-Esteem Study
State your hypothesis (remember correlation ? causation, so don't hypothesize that one causes the other):

Specifically,

There is a significant relationship between an individual's level of self-esteem and his/her perceived degree of self-accomplishment.
Enter your data (feel free to add columns if you need to for your hypothesis).

Do you see the pattern that you hypothesized?
Salient in this self-concept and self-esteem study that indeed, there is a relationship between self-esteem and the individual's self-reported self-concept. Although no directional relationships are established from the study, it is important to note that data results indicate a potential directional relationship between the level of self-esteem and (i) achievement motivation and (ii) perception of self-accomplishment. The first self-concept variable is determined through the individual's identified and reported causes that could prompt him/her to take action or change his/her behavior. Perception of self-accomplishment, meanwhile, determines the perception of the individual on the importance or relevance of his/her achievements, if there are any, to himself/herself and society in general. Results showed that individuals who have low self-esteem do not also exhibit positive reports on achievement motivation and perceived self-accomplishment. Conversely, people who have high self-esteem reported more positive achievement motivation and perceived self-accomplishment.
