Generally, a crisis management plan is an important document for businesses, especially establishments in the hospitality industry. This is primarily because these establishments are vulnerable to crises such as natural disasters and global terrorism.

A crisis management plan is developed to create a coordinated and effective approach towards a crisis situation through the use of maximum resources and trained personnel in order to enhance the operations of the business ("Crisis Management Plan," 2009). The main principles for Baderman's crisis management plan are clear definition of roles and responsibility, timely and precise assessment of threats, pre-planned administrative support, maintaining security, and consistent communications and reporting processes.

The main threats or potential crises to Baderman Island Resort have been brought by numerous changes the global security environment and increased terrorist threats. Some of the most common security risks or threats to the operations of the resort include natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and occupational hazards like fire outbreaks. The wide range of risks and threats necessitate the establishment and execution of additional and stringiest security measures or precautions in Baderman Island Resort. These security measures are geared towards ensuring the safety and security of the resort's employees and guests, promote operational excellence, and lessen the impact of any risks or security threats.

The establishment's crisis management will be led by a crisis management team mandated with the task of planning for crises based on the resort's requirements, operations, and resources. The team will also be responsible for encouraging and ensuring wider participation by various stakeholders in promoting safety and security in the resort. One of the major ways through which the team will promote safety in the resort is through analyzing capabilities and hazards and developing measures that will deal with these risks or threats. These crisis prevention and mitigation measures will be integrated into the resort's operations and training of employees. During a crisis, the crisis management team will carry out various measures such as verifying the risk or threat, evaluate its probable outcomes, identify alternatives and objectives to respond to the crisis, locate and identify victims, and provide guidelines for implementation of measures to deal with the threat.
