These rigorous steps of developing the methodology for a research are culminated with the conduct of the data collection itself, which, in the example given earlier, the research collected data through the survey method. After collection, processing of the data would be next, followed by the analyses and interpretation of these processed survey data. After data analysis, the researcher uses his/her knowledge and experience as an expert in the field of health by interpreting the data results in the context of health and the social environment of the community. Both data analyses and interpretation are summarized and made easier to communicate through a formal report, both in oral and written modalities.

The outlines systematic approach to research inquiry, while they may appear to be very rigorous and scientific in their manner or conduct, is also susceptible to certain limitations. These limitations are determined by the kind of methodology and kind of analysis used in the research. The example provided earlier, a survey research, has limitations in terms of the scope or applicability of the results to the

A survey could provide a general overview of the nature of health knowledge, attitude and practices about the community, but it cannot provide in-depth information about a specific issue that the researcher wants addressed in the community. Conversely, an in-depth interview or FGD cannot provide a general overview of the health practices of a community because these methods do not make use of a representative sample during the data collection period.
Another limitation that scientific inquiry has is that it follows a pattern or system wherein the researcher could either prove or disprove a hypothesis or research claim that s/he has formulated. Thus, the scope of the research is limited, and other factors affecting its nature and outcome may not have been taken into consideration during the research process. This is an acceptable reality, however, since a researcher could only study and analyze a reasonable number of variables. Lastly, because of the dynamic nature of human behavior, results generated for a specific time period could change radically in a short period of time, hence, the data generated could no longer be considered applicable or descriptive of the population or community under study.

The empirical design and its results, not age, should determine the validity and relevance of a given educational theory. Too often, educational policy makers and the professional support system skip from level one research (theory and conjecture based on correlations) to policy. A shared knowledge base might be created from theory alone and as Grossen (nd) points out, it often is. "Most of the educational practices that become widely

A two-year degree can offer an affordable foundation towards a Bachelor's degree through a community college, however, it is important to have students take courses that can easily transfer to a university when the time comes. Educators and administrators should be mindful of the importance of guiding students to choose courses wisely with a focus on transferring. What it all Means The changes are here to stay. Students with Bachelor's degrees

scientific notation, its uses and rules for calculations. One example from everyday life: a computer hard disk holds 4 gigabytes of information, that is 4,000,000,000 bytes of information. Written in scientific notation, that is 4 X 109 bytes. Scientific notation is used to write very large and very small numbers. While ordinary numbers are useful for everyday measurements, for large measurements like astronomical distances, scientific notations offers a way of

The State has also established a string of both general and specific policies for improving and developing special education and set aside special funds for this purpose. Consequently, just like regular education, special education has also developed rapidly. Although local governments are encouraged to provide compulsory education to children with and without disabilities, the enacted policies do not necessitate that education be provided to all students. Despite the fact that

Scientific Method Scenario 1: You come home after a long day at work and you flip on the light switch and nothing happens; light does not come on. Now what? Miriam Webster's dictionary defines the scientific method as all of the "principles and procedures for the systematic pursuit of knowledge involving the recognition and formulation of a problem, the collection of data through observation and experiment, and the formulation and testing of

The rules of this paradigm are that government usually perform formal inquiries because they hope to establish trends for funding or new educational models, while social research does not have to follow these rules, instead, they study social problems and divides that affect adult and distance learners, and seek to solve those problems through social change and reorganization. Finally, the paradigm that exists between the institution and the adult learner
