¶ … Graduate School: Criminal Justice An employment announcement in my area residence attracted and dictated my line of education and professional pursuit. It was then that I had to compel to the idea that I wanted to engage in issues pertaining criminal justice and homeland security. In addition, family involvement and experience as a military with the Air Force have seconded my desires. Upon separation from the Air Force, I instilled discipline, which was a big problem in the past and in the course I decided to build my interest in matters of law enforcement through a higher education facility. Presumably I nobly and loftily agree that knowledge is power, but it was not until I joined Excelsior College that this notion dawned reality upon me. Through Excelsior, I have come to terms with being responsible, motivated and focused in achieving my long-term goals. Consequentially, I successfully attained my Associate degree and Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, a milestone in determining my educational and professional future.

I believe that social, economic and political empowerment lies in the stability of an economy. This stability is steered up by effective security and state protection. The efforts that the United States Department of Defense is carrying out are commendable and my dream has always been to be a part and parcel of that positive change that distinctively put our great nation ahead. The world is constantly changing and this is attributed to the mindset of a person. I plan to equip my mindset with intellect that will enable me engage in fair judicial affairs in the global mission of maintaining peace and security. In addition, I want to maintain my patience and discipline with the achievement of my goals. I have struggled with education since 1982 from being personally disoriented from academics and enrolling in the wrong academic environment, and despite the duration of the M.Sc in Criminal Justice duration I will keep focusing on the bigger picture. The global society highly regards persons with intellect, and achieving a Masters degree with distinction will align me on Excelsior's College realm and so will the society. Vocationally, higher education will expose me to dynamic and high ranks in various law enforcement agencies. Excelsior College is the among the best schools offering higher education in Criminal Justice, and hence as a successful graduate from the institution, I will sell my education blueprint to policy leaders, scholars and visionaries in many law enforcement agencies in the nation.
