An employment announcement in my area residence attracted and dictated my line of education and professional pursuit. It was then that I had to compel to the idea that I wanted to engage in issues pertaining criminal justice and homeland security. In addition, family involvement and experience as a military with the Air Force have seconded my desires. Upon separation from the Air Force, I instilled discipline, which was a big problem in the past and in the course I decided to build my interest in matters of law enforcement through a higher education facility. Presumably I nobly and loftily agree that knowledge is power, but it was not until I joined Excelsior College that this notion dawned reality upon me. Through Excelsior, I have come to terms with being responsible, motivated and focused in achieving my long-term goals. Consequentially, I successfully attained my Associate degree and Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, a milestone in determining my educational and professional future.
I believe that social, economic and political empowerment lies in the stability of an economy. This stability is steered up by effective security and state protection. The efforts that the United States Department of Defense is carrying out are commendable and my dream has always been to be a part and parcel of that positive change that distinctively put our great nation ahead. The success of a security mission such as the capture of the former Al-Qaeda leader, Osama-Bin-Laden and the fight in curbing illegal immigrants from South America inspired me a great deal. The independent variable will be the positive reinforcement as represented by the incentive program. The study will be examined by examining increases or decreases on the overall attendance rate of students before application of an incentive program and then after the incentive program has been in effect for at least 1/2 of the school year.
