¶ … Strategic Goals: Expand the indigenous youth programs and partnerships throughout North America.

Two strategies that can be used to implement this strategic goal include: (1) identifying potential partners in the United States to administer the indigenous youth programs and (2) conducting a public awareness campaign concerning the need for these types of programs in the U.S.

Develop a program model-based CWY's model that can be readily implemented in the countries of Oceania where it currently lacks a presence.

Two strategies that can be used to implement this strategic goal include: (1) partnering with youth organizations in Australia and New Zealand and (2) dispatching a team from CWY to organize and implement a model program which can be used an example for additional programs in this region.

Develop a training program for mentors participating in its mentorship program

Finally, two strategies that can be used to implement this strategic goal include: (1) apply the "Effective Strategies for Providing Quality Youth Mentoring in Schools and Communities" series developed by the Hamilton Fish Institute on School and Community Violence. Fortunately, Canada Youth World (CWY) can partner with other North American youth organizations, including the National Youth in Care Network, Canada25, Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children, the Child Welfare League of Canada, the Christian Service Brigade and the Company of Young Canadians in Canada and the World Youth Movement for Democracy and American Indian Business Leaders in the United States to achieve this goal. These alliances will be important in order to maximize the organizational resources that are available.
Programs managers from CWY's headquarters will be tasked with monitoring the status of these implementations, and appropriate quantifiable measures (i.e., how many mentors received training, how many new indigenous youth programs were launched, and the number of new programs created based on the CWY model) will be used to evaluate progress.
