Some of my days are very full, not only with my study commitments, but also with my social commitments. Being young, I like to go out and have fun with my friends. I will have to find a balance between this and an exercise schedule that will make my days even fuller. This could result in physical and mental exhaustion. I will have to devise strategies for coping with this. I believe that experts in the medical and fitness field will be able to help me with the mental process of remaining committed to an exercise program. I will have to maintain a balance in such a way that I get not only enough physical exercise, but also enough rest to prevent burning out and defeating the purpose of my original goal. I will also have to carefully distinguish between mental and physical exhaustion that warrants skipping my exercise program for a day in favor of getting enough rest and sheer laziness because I do not happen to feel like exercising on any particular day.

In my commitment to getting more physical exercise in order to help me lose weight, I will have to begin slowly. I am not used to physical exercise at all, and there is the danger that I may burn out before having in fact accomplished anything. This is also something with which my list of experts can help me.

Once I am certain of the amount of weight that I can lose in a certain period of time, such as a month, I can create specific weight loss goals for the future. This will then also encourage me to remain with the program.
Finally, I can also integrate my social commitments with my exercise program by encouraging my friends to join me. Creating a specific schedule for exercising with friends will help me to keep to my commitments and help me reach my goals more easily. We can then also encourage each other to maintain our commitments and reach our goals, since we will depend on each other to make the joint effort.

In conclusion, I feel that my weight loss goal can be accomplished with certain short-, medium- and long-term goals. One of the most important aspects here is to commit to my health. Being less overweight will mean that I am healthier. It will also mean that I feel better about myself and the way that I look. Even though there is a large amount of pressure within the media to look a certain way, the other side of that pressure is that maintaining a body weight that is more standard for my height is also healthier. By including the help of experts in the field, my own commitment levels, and the involvement of my friends, I believe that the long-term goal I have set for myself will be accomplished. I look forward to starting my program and accomplishing what I can in the long-term.

Sugar is a food element that must be avoided in excessive amounts in order to maintain the healthiest body possible. Good researchers tend to pull methods out of a tool kit as they are needed" (2006, p. 54). Notwithstanding these criticisms and constraints, though, most social researchers seem to agree that classification by some type of research paradigm is a useful approach based on the need to determine which approach is best suited for a given research enterprise. In this regard, Corby concludes that, "The contested nature of research
