Bucket List Accounting and financial oversight is a passion of mine. I also enjoy helping others achieve their desired goals. Due primarily to the extreme catastrophes caused by the financial crisis, solid accounting principles are needed more than ever. Individual investors, pension funds, and governments all rely on solid financial information in order to make prudent decisions regarding their investments. Accounting, and the confidence in its reliability, is the primarily component to its trust. Through the coursework garnered through this program, my aim is to instill trust within accounting to help provide companies with pertinent and useful information. This information, I believe, will allow companies to make prudent financial decisions that ultimately benefit the company and society at large. I intend to apply the knowledge gained from this program to provide viable and beneficial accounting solutions to a fortune 500 company.

My short goals upon completion of the program are centered primarily on working for a company in which I personally admire. Upon completion of the program I expect to accept an entry level accounting position which will properly utilize my skills and abilities. I intend to learn extensively...

I also expect to add value to the organization through my skills that will immediate be recognized by the organization. Through this skill recognition, I will aspire to receive a promotion within 2 years of accepting the original entry level position.
I posses many of the skills needed to achieve these goals. A deep passion for numbers, rooted in my strong undergraduate performance, provides a foundation in which to build my accounting proficiency. In addition, I posses a strong attention to detail which is needed within the field. In addition, I posses strong team work skills which will be needed within a large organization. Individuals, particularly in a more globalized economy, will need the ability to communicate effectively with others. These communication skills are integral to proper teamwork, as accounting requires large amounts of collaboration. Finally, I posses curiosity, which is a very underrating skill its todays market economy.
