Psychotherapy Over The Last Several Research Paper

Instead, it must be applied with other techniques and take into account the effect that it could be having upon the patient. These two elements are important, because they will ensure that when this therapy is applied, it is used in a way that takes legal and ethical ramifications into account. As a result, ensuring that the patient is receiving the best treatment options (which are reducing the overall amounts of suffering) is the ultimate of objective from: an ethical and legal standpoint. (Roth, 2010, pp. 235 -- 252) Discuss how this theory aligns with your own philosophy, values, and views of the therapeutic process

This theory aligns with my personal beliefs and values, as it is requiring the patient to play an active role in their treatment. In many ways, one could argue that this is superior to other approaches that will often: prescribe someone various anti-psychotic drugs and do little to address the underlying causes of the problem. Once this takes place, it means that therapy can become ineffective at addressing the challenges facing the patient. When you are using the CBT theory, the patient has to want to change, in order to help improve their overall situation. This means that they are motivated to: listen to what the therapist is telling them and how they can apply these techniques to their daily lives. As a result, this is more effective at addressing various mental disorders because of: the sense empowerment for the patient and the supporting role of the counselor.

In the case of Margarita, the CBT theory would be effective at addressing...

...

This is because, other forms of therapy involving prescription drugs have failed and she has a successful career. When you put these elements together, this means that she is more than likely is having negative thoughts that are contributing to the depressive episodes. Over the course of time, these have turned into bouts of rage that almost resulted in violence. If her thoughts can be redirected, this could prevent her from feeling that sense of: helplessness and loss. As she will be able to understand how: to adapt and overcome from various events that occur in her life. This is significant, because it shows how the CBT theory can be used to address the underlying challenges facing patients, who are not responding to traditional forms of therapy. At which point, the different tools can be utilized, to help create lasting improvements in the lives of these individuals.
