The healthcare industry is continuously evolving; thus, nurses must constantly be updated to meet these trends and demands. This has given a shift to the responsibilities of nurses when compared to decades ago. For instance, there have been rapid technological introductions in the healthcare industry while the old ones are being upgraded, which are now affecting the dynamics of the sector (Medvin, 2022). This growth and progress are happening rapidly in that before one technological invention becomes standard hospital practice, a new one is being invented, requiring nurses to be constantly updated. Furthermore, there has been a significant increase in patients, increasing nurses' responsibilities. Therefore, below are some approaches that could help nurses keep up with the development of their profession.

Balancing between practical and theoretical approach

Unlike most professions, nursing is hands-on since nurses must always be present to their patients to provide quality healthcare. However, there has been a significant increase in the number of patients daily, which has triggered technological evolution for them to contain all the patients (Colleges-Institute, 2022). The introduction of Internet of Things devices in the healthcare industry requires nurses to understand how to use them while attending to their patients. In conclusion, being a nurse involves hard work, dedication, and determination. This implies that there are no shortcuts in the healthcare industry. For nurses to be more competent and reliable, they will have to continuously learn and develop new skills as the industry is being digitized. Furthermore, being updated with the developments in the industry will help them increase their confidence and hence improve job satisfaction, thus bringing revolutionary change to healthcare…
