The analysis involved not only thematic analysis, but also content analysis. This can be viewed as one of the major strengths of the data analysis process in the original study. This is informed by the need to gain an in-depth understanding of the research phenomenon. This means that the researcher interprets the collected data in a manner that provides a rich, contextual explanation of the research phenomenon. While the inductive logic provides an in-depth understanding of the research phenomenon, the challenge of generalizability is common. For instance, it would be quite difficult to generalize the findings beyond the two case studies included in the original research in Agostinho's (2004) article. Nonetheless, techniques such as providing rich descriptions, member checks, triangulation, prolonged engagement, and audit trails can enhance the transferability of qualitative findings.
