The area of service that informs this paper is the military service where many citizens opt to go out of the country to fight the combatants with the ultimate aim of making the U.S. A safe place to live in for the peaceful citizens.

The military service engages the individual being away from his family over a long period of time, months or even years and a great deal of forfeiting the comforts that they would be enjoying back at home for the sake of securing the nation. While out in the battlefield, the soldiers endure a lot of harsh weather, since it is extremely hot as compared to the weather in the U.S. The individuals are also deprived of sleep since they have to be engaged in active service all the time.

The soldiers often have meals that are not of wide variety as they would have loved while back at home and they also miss their families since they only occasionally get a chance to talk to them or receive letters from them. The constant threat of violence also makes the individuals to lack peace of mind and the actual manifestation of the violent combats often laves the soldiers with post traumatic stress disorder once they are back from the battlefields.
