Vail AZ School District's Online Term Paper

One of the most significant challenges that a teacher using a learning style centered approach to teaching is the growing pressure to "teach to the test." Teaching to the test refers to the practice of utilizing standardized test to assess the learning of students. Since such things as funding and raises are often tied directly to how well a student performs on the standardized test, many teachers and schools have adopted a curriculum that essentially teaches to the test, or in away that ensures high rates of test performance. The problem with this approach to teaching is that it takes a narrow approach to teaching to a wide array of learning styles References:
