Leaders particularly need to recognize the value of collaboration in strategic planning. Indeed, many authors hold that strategic planning is most effectively implemented by means of collaboration. In the educational setting particularly, the recognition of each stakeholder is particularly important. Education includes many stakeholders. Learners, parents, educators, and the community can all collaborate in order to implement the most effective planning strategy for the future of schools. It is therefore time that educational leaders understand that their role in the education process is by no means either isolated or unimportant. When all stakeholders are recognized, planning can be optimized for the benefit of all.
