Many educational projects are experiential, but don't refer to themselves as such (e.g., excursions, physical education, manual arts, drama, art, and so on)."
The value of experiential education is instrumental to my learning theory. I remember the first time I assisted in a classroom and saw how valuable it is when utilized correctly.
I was helping with a math lesson in a first grade classroom. The teacher had drawn an equation the board of 2 plus 3 equals 5. She had the students first discuss the equation and talk about things that could be added. The list was endless and fun and included pet dogs, cats, little sisters and brothers. It had the students laughing and paying close attention. The next step was to write the equation on the board. She had them first draw it in desk top sand boxes then write it on the paper. The final element was using glue for art class. They were to glue three beans, macaronis or pipe cleaners in a group and then two in another group and then five in a third group with a marking indicating which direction the addition equation went. This opened the door to teaching subtraction by explaining the reversing of the bean equation would also work if it was subtraction.
I knew then how important experiential education was as I realized the children who had learning disabilities...
There are advantages and disadvantages to the theory of constructivism. On the positive side, it means that children are ferocious learners because they have the innate neural tools in place to properly absorb and classify information. Piaget would argue that children need only be given the stimuli -- environment, information or other factors -- at the appropriate time when a child's brain is ready to absorb information. Piaget suggested that learning
He attempts to show that this concept has emerged and is slowly developing in adult education to an extent that it has attracted both researchers and practitioners in the field. Actually, the author's main goal is to provide better understanding of the complexity of transformative learning through summarizing its main theoretical views in the field of adult learning. In the age of standardized tests, teachers must constantly struggle to understand the real meaning of assessment practices. With recent emphasis on assessment and standards-based instruction, it is important to keep the

He also provides the phases to independence, for example: fake vs. factual, dishonesty vs. truth, resentment vs. tolerance, revolt vs. obedience, arrogance vs. self-effacement, and oppression vs. lack of restrictions. Fake vs. real step show how we need to absorb to recognize God's certainty so we do
Project Leader Personal Learning Contract Learning within organizations is vital to success. It is the lifeblood that grows and sustains human capital (Bassi & McMurrer, 2004; Noe, 2008; Senge, 1990) through human resource development (HRD) and the management of technology which, according to Thamhain (2001), is the key to competitiveness and wealth creation. In this essay the researcher attempts to explore the challenges he will be facing as a leader and the competencies
" (7) Chomsky warns of ideological motivations of some scientific paradigms, just as with the aforementioned racial emphasis of early anthropology. Here, Russell espouses a Platonic episteme by enunciating the expectations of behavior between different classes. While Plato philosophized that persons are born with the characteristics fitting of their caste, Russell envisages a society in which "ordinary" men and women are expected to be collectivized and, therefore, devoid of individual expression.
