Afro Americans Poverty among Afro Americans America has always been at the top in the counting of developed countries all over the world. In the past 50 years, the rate of poverty has somehow declined but one can say that it is only for a specified circle of society (Carrillo, 2012). The poverty rate fluctuated around 22.4% to 15.11% in the past 50 years (Iceland, 2012). Although the ratio has decreased but it's a considerable rate for country like USA.

Here the question which is under consideration is the poverty rate of those Africans who have been living there for a very long time but they are the most under privileged community of this society as depicted by the researches and reports every year. The report of Income, Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage stated that 27.4% of Africans are living even below poverty line (Iceland, 2012). Afro-Americans also named as Blacks in America were generally brought in there as slaves and from then onwards Afro Americans were mostly kept as enslaved.

They could hardly have the necessities of life in their crucial times in USA. According to statistics 38.1 million of American population is Africans who are facing serious slump in the acquisition of necessities of life like food, shelter (Shapiro, 2004). Their poverty and food insecurity rate is closely linked. From education to income, unemployment to nutrition assistance program everything has been neglected. However, one can also add to it that both Africans as well as Americans are responsible for this state of the poverty in the country.

Fact sheets in of February 2012 show that one in four Africans is at the surge of paucity as in comparison to one in eight Americans. In fact a generation has been at risk because if this poverty syndrome. To quote with Mississippi, Ankara, and Kentucky were at the poverty rates of 36%, 36.4% and 36.2% respectively and this shows how the democrats of American government set the Afro-Americans aside (Iceland, 2012). Moreover, in some of the states of America the Afro-American poverty rate is double the rate of general poverty throughout the country.

The metro areas of New York-Northern New Jersey, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Dallas-Fort, Washington, D.C are even more sufferers of scarcity at a considerable tendency (Ellis & Carlson, 2012). In the past, the way Africans were treated is still in the minds of their race. This sense of insecurity never let them to put their heads on the record to get their rights and gain the best of what life could offer.

Americans not openly accepted Africans and so their moral keep on lessening with the passage of time and they remain stuck where they were decades before with enslaved minds (Polednak, 1997). Africans even if try to move a step ahead then the mind sets they had and brought up of their lives never allowed them to have a courage for themselves.

It seemed as genetically Africans were marked to remain under-privileged and that is why they never had the opportunity to have those standards of life, which Americans had and have at their point in time. That's why the ratio of blacks who are imprisoned behind the goal are more in frequency then those of whites as they never got the chance to uplift themselves so they used indirect and crook ways of survival which made them notorious everywhere (Polednak, 1997).

As in comparison to the previous connotations and practices now, the poverty or negligent aspects of Americans are reducing and positively modifying regarding Africans. Now the trends have changed although Africans are not completely acknowledged but researches and anticipations reveal that Africans may get the status if not same then even nevertheless low in front of Americans. To quote Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama has been the perfect examples of Africans moral and stature build up as in comparison to the previous Afro-Americans society (Carrillo, 2012).

The These people hold a strong status in that society where blacks were only used for low-level work executions but as now it has been totally deviated. American attributes regarding Africans are somehow moving through a strong process of change agent and these change agents have given birth and courage to people like Oprah and Obama (Ellis & Carlson, 2012).

This report case could be concluded at this point that although Americans ked down Africans a lot at a certain period of time and deprived them from all the basic tools of human needs but revolutions do occur and so it is a result of this revolution that Oprah n Obama came forward with strong credibility. Now American state is stepping ahead with new trends trying to remove ethnicity and discretions made by them in the past decades (Carrillo, 2012). This states.
