The purpose of this letter is to introduce myself and the abilities that I possess, in helping the company be able to achieve its objectives. I am bringing this information forward because of, a previous verbal agreement that your predecessor had with me about my future raise. What has been happening is I am taking on increasing amounts of responsibility, as a part of my duties that have often been designated for executives. During this process, I learned how to become a leader and I helped the firm to be able to meet a host of different objectives. This is because of: working extra hours and encouraging everyone to do the same for the betterment of the company. Over the course of time, this helped improve the success of team and the division. In fact, I was given a favorable letter of accommodation from upper management for going above and beyond what was asked of me. Based upon what I have done for the organization, I believe that a raise is a way of the company showing its appreciation for my contributions.

When I was originally hired, I was supposed to be engaged in the same kind of work that many entry level employees are doing. However, over the last couple of years my duties have been increasing dramatically. This has led to three promotions and added responsibilities. All of this was occurring, when the company was experiencing major layoffs and they were eliminating similar positions as mine. What made my situation so different is that, I approached my supervisor and asked how I can help to increase productivity. This allowed me to: standout in their minds as someone they could count on. Once they begin to see that I was consistent and worked well with everyone, is when I was given greater responsibilities. This is the point that I learned how to effectively lead a team, in an effort to dramatically improve productivity.

During this process, is when I was able to use these skills to help increase efficiency by 25% for the team. At the same time, absenteeism and the total number of sick days were down by 14%. The reason why is because, I used a leadership style that gives employees greater flexibility in completing their projects. This allows them to make adjustments in their personal and work lives. Moreover, I am an also an effective communication and can help employees to feel as if they part of something greater than themselves. Once this happens, is when everyone is willing to do more for the company and productivity increases dramatically. These factors are important, because during a time when many companies are struggling, we were able to help increase productivity. The way that I contributed is through: effective leadership and applying the skills that I was taught by my supervisors. This makes me someone, who can help the company grow over the long-term and quickly adapt to any kinds of shifts that are taking place.
