The mock-up of the online recruitment site will also allow for alerts by specific job category to be defined in addition to personalization of the site as well. Once students have been given the opportunity to review the website, questionnaires will be sent requesting their opinions. To further minimize boas, the students are going to be told this is for a beta test site program for a new job recruitment site specifically developed for graduating seniors.
Data Collection and Analysis Techniques
The data collection and analysis will be initially managed though online survey application Zoomerang, which has preliminary statistical analysis applications included on the site itself. Further analysis of the data collected will be accomplished by exporting the data from Zoomerang to SPSS Version 13 for Windows, which will be used to complete frequency distributions, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and correlation analysis.
Ethics and Safety Considerations
The entire research process will first focus on preserving the confidentiality of the respondents and ensuring the data they provide is protected. The website specifically developed for this research effort will be between the Yahoo firewall, as SiteBuilder from Yahoo will be used to create it. Further, the confidentiality of the respondents will also be protected as there will be no audit trail to individual responses to the data set generated as a part of the analysis.
Schedule
The initial development of the phase 1 questionnaire will be completed within three weeks of approval of this study, with the website completed within six weeks. The first interviews will be completed within nine weeks of approval. As the study will need to run at least three weeks to gain responses, the entire project is scheduled to take 12 weeks.
