¶ … academic and professional experiences have made me realize that strengths and creativities are the major tools to become a leader. I have also come to understand that majority of successful leaders build their skills from strong academic backgrounds. Realization of these important facts makes to apply for MBA program at Saint Leo University to draw diverse academic experiences to assist me reaching my goal. I have just completed my master's degree in Social Work and my professional goal is to become a director of a hospital. I am applying for the MBA program to accumulate a body of knowledge in theoretical and application of business concepts in solving the real world problems. My previous education and professional experiences have enhanced my greater understanding about the management of social and health problems, nevertheless, the MBA program will assist me to solve complex business problems in healthcare organizations. I finished my first degree in California State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2012. In the same year, I completed my second degree in Criminal Justice. Since 2015, I have been working with Behavioral Health Link as a Call Center Care Consultant performing various tasks such as providing telephonic interviews to evaluate and assess callers for services needed and their eligibilities. My tasks are also to assess, review, and link callers with external agencies for services after calls have been screened by a clinician.
I also worked at Fulton County District Attorney as a Social Work Intern between 2015 and 2016. My major work was to perform the administrative tasks. Moreover, I worked at Southwestern Academy as a Dorm Parent between 2010 and 2014. In 2014, I worked as a Behavioral Health Specialist at Aurora Charter Oak Hospital responsible for implementing treatment plans for emotional and mentally disturbed clients. I also worked in various organizations between 2007 and 2014 performing various tasks, which assisted me to accumulate a body of knowledge in the administration of social and healthcare organizations.

Based on accumulated professional experience and previous educational qualifications, I believe this is the right time to apply for the MBA program at Saint Leo University because the program will build my knowledge on the application of real world business, which I will apply in reaching my professional goal.
