Ethical Dilemmas among Early Childhood Educators
Early childhood education is a very crucial stage in the schooling stages of a child. At school, children are inculcated in the schools system and their attitude and perspective about learning changes. From the pivotal role it will play in the schooling life of a child, the tutors have to ensure that they provide all the necessary attention and materials for these early learners. The other peculiar thing about the learners at this age is that their parents are always concerned about their welfare. Ideally, they play an active role in their learning process. In this pursuit, their interventions can at times conflict with those of the teachers who have been employed to raise these children in school (Anning, 2014). This following study focuses on the issue of teacher-parent conflict in relation to the story portrayed in the case study.

In terms of learning policies, the parents should not be given an unnecessarily influential position and stake in the decision-making process. This is disadvantageous because they will slow down the decision-making process because they end to oppose almost everything that comes their way. From their large numbers, it will impossible to accommodate all their suggestions. For this reason, the position of the parents should be to support the school administration and the teachers in achieving the learning agenda of their children (Anning, 2014).
Schools should cooperate with the universities by allowing them the chance to conduct mutual researches. This should be done through partnership in order to contribute to the body of knowledge. The school policy should state that once the children are admitted to the school, they are at the hands of the school administration. This will prevent the teacher-parent conflicts like the one involving Stacy and Shaun's mother. Stacy should ask for a meeting with the school principal and Shaun's mother in order to arrive at an amicable decision.
