To begin the first issue with the CPOE implementation is that all participants where not properly onboarded within the community hospital. In addition, it appears that properly feedback was not obtained by all those using the technology. The technology may have been implemented without regard to all users of the technology and confirmation that all users understand how to leverage the technology for their own personal benefit. Finally, the blatant disregard for authority, policies and procedures speaks to a cultural issue within the facility.
