Therapist Doctor's Point-of-View In my opinion, the lady described in the scenario given is an asset to the United States. My assertion is in this case based on a number of things. To begin with, having emigrated from another country into the United States, the said lady will contribute significantly in the enhancement of the nation's cultural and ethnic diversity. In addition to helping the United States package itself as an accountable nation that genuinely promotes and celebrates humanistic values, the continued stay of the described lady in the U.S. could also put the country on the right track to modernity. This is more so the case given that the world as we know it is increasingly becoming a global village.

Looked at from a wider perspective, it can also be noted that the links she has with her country of origin could play an important role in boosting cross-cultural markets, thereby improving the U.S. economy. It is therefore fairly accurate to state that going forward; the lady described in the scenario is more likely than not to make a significant contribution towards the economic prosperity of the U.S.
Over time, quite a number of immigrants have lost their culture and/or language to that of natives. This is what is commonly referred to as cultural assimilation. In my opinion, the society should be more appreciative of multiculturalism as it brings together divergent views as well as experiences of others for the benefit of the entire society.
