¶ … opportunities does China's rise imply for international security? Recently Chinese military history witnessed three ships that were used in war, sailed across the straits of Malacca in the month of December last year on their way to a milestone. Being a part of International maritime force located in Gulf of Aden, China planned to safeguard its economic interest at the international level with the help of military forces. The steps taken are not only limited to Beijing's policy framework with respect to security across the Strait of Taiwan.

China is on the verge of rising as a firm military player on in global map with the help of its strategic steps, modernizing techniques along with the efforts in the field of training and development (Holslag, 2009). Many uncertain indications have been sent about this development from United States.

A wide explanation was given to Congress about the international "military engagement" of China, in the latest report from Pentagon; but there is still a question remained unanswered, that is, is it to capture any resource on the basis of power or an illegal possession over disputed territories, or there is the reason of being socially responsible and to cooperate with global communities (Holslag, 2009).

The concern of United States over the impressive ability of the rising military of China is accompanied with the anticipation that a broad range of steps could be taken by them, in order to deal with the menaces like Terrorism and Piracy, apart from any traditional menace. Washington is required to take this as a positive chance, instead of considering it as a menace.

There is a potential interest to spend in cooperation from the piracy problem to unsuccessful countries to terror belt of Indian Ocean, Africa, and South Asia respectively. United States needs dependable partners in order to be a reliable leader globally (Holslag, 2009). There are two gainsays involved in the global security cooperation with China. Number one; as long as Asia's military power will be prompted up by Washington, Beijing will not accept any invitation regarding the cooperation with United States.

Therefore, a clear enough policy is required to be made by the government of President Obama, on that assert that the United States will not supply any major weapons systems to Asia, until and unless there will be an improvement in relations between two countries, that are, China and Asia.

Number two; a serious pertain is required by United States regarding the nearer cooperation of its partners like, Australia, India, Japan, and South Korea, with China, for the sake of any long-term interest, which might become of higher priority than that of Asia (Holslag, 2009). The comprehensive reconciliation is the only way out of this particular quandary. Deciding between being in the favor or against China should not be the subject while involving Asia.

It is required by Washington to involve each regional power at the same time in a realistic many-sided model that is depended on collaboration among countries. In order to sustain leadership in Asia, United States is required to change narrow ambitions into synergism, on the other hand, a proper checks and balances is also required to held among the regional powers of Asia.

The real question thus is: how this ticklish balance can be reached? (Holslag, 2009) Outline of the paper The expansion in the global economic sakes of China is obliging it to enlarge its plans regarding armed forces and the purviews of the policies regarding its defense. The armed forces strength of China will surely be anticipated into remote regions slowly and gradually. The blue-water policing and incorporated distant procedures are already set by the PLA.

The projection of the global security aspirations of China is strongly required by the United States (Holslag, 2009). New ways of cooperation are still required to be determined with China, by regarding it as a collaborator instead.
