¶ … ethics within the educational system is a very tricky path to navigate due to the consistent stream of variable behavior from numerous sources. As an administrator, it is important to realize that no matter what decision is made, there will always be some opposition to that stance. Therefore it is important to satisfy my own personal ethical agenda before adopting anyone else's. When dealing with issues it is important that I keep focused on what I believe to be right within my own guidance and values. Improving on this self-awareness and ability to stand strong when things get tough, will provide me the strength needed to sustain ethical battles. As a rule of thumb ethical issues will be dealt with quickly, openly and with reason and balance in order to fairly determine the right outcome in these types of situations.

The rate at which school resources can be consumed provides the necessary guidance to properly budget and determine clear and concise budgets within the planning elements of any given school administrator. School leaders can use their budgets as guiding and leadership tools to help steer the proverbial ship and provide beacons of direction in absence of more clear orders or objectives. Managing resources, financial and otherwise, requires discipline and a clear vision of the future direction of the school organization. School leaders must become familiar with the important members of the community who can help in providing resources and rapport building with these individuals can do much in way of helping a strong and flexible budget. For me, I need to learn more about the time value of money and to find new ways for money to work for the organization with minimal effort or direction.

Teamwork is an essential quality within any organization to provide a means of culture on the path to success. Teams are brought together by a common goal and a common vision that has both collective and individual reward. Aligning these ideas on what is best for the individual is best for the organization can help provide the necessary mind frame to a school that is need of team cohesion. To implement such strategies requires energy and dedication. Leaders must commit themselves 100% to their objectives if they are to expect their follower to do the same. A helpful mantra in this case is " never ask anyone to do something you have not done yourself or are not willing to do as well." Remembering that everyone is human with human emotions also serves the school and community well by adding a sense of empathy and kindness to the leadership style that is intended to be both effective talkers and listeners.
