The Benefits of Omega -'s Fatty Acids on the Cardiovascular System

Omega 3 fatty acids are beneficial to human health for various reasons. One of the most important benefits is their ability to improve eye health. Omega 3 fatty acids help to protect the eyes from damage caused by ultraviolet (UV) light, reduce the risk of developing macular degeneration, and improve night vision. Omega-3 fatty acids also positively affect heart health (Musazadeh et al., 2022). They help to lower cholesterol levels, reduce the risk of heart disease, and improve blood circulation.

Additionally, omega-three fatty acids can help prevent blood clot formation, which can lead to heart attacks and strokes. Finally, omega three fatty acids also boost the immune system and reduce inflammation by producing acids that increase the production of immune cells called natural killer cells. Natural killer cells are a type of white blood cell that helps to fight.

The research article "Omega-3 fatty acids and cardiovascular disease: a review of the evidence" (Musazadeh et al.,2022) examines how Omega-3 fatty acids can reduce risk factors for heart disease. The article looks at randomized controlled trials, observational studies, and meta-analyses that have been conducted to evaluate the efficacy of Omega 3 fatty acids in reducing risk factors for heart disease. The article also notes that supplementation with Omega 3...…reduce bad cholesterol and triglyceride levels while increasing good cholesterol. This results in a lower risk of developing coronary artery disease and stroke. Additionally, Omega 3's reduce inflammation and decrease a person's risk of developing cardiovascular-related conditions.

Based on the scientific literature review, omega-3 fatty acids benefit cardiovascular health. A higher intake of omega-3 fatty acids has been observed to correlate with lower blood pressure and a reduced risk of heart disease.
