The questionnaire will comprise of 60 randomized statements, 20 from each domains of Love, Sex, and Roles & Responsibilities. Each statement will be evaluated using a 6-point Likert Scale (to reduce the respondent's chances of taking the middle ground) with anchors labeled strongly agree and strongly disagree. Data will be subjected to Split-Half reliability test and Cronbach's Coefficient Alpha to check reliability and to set the questionnaire to its final length.
The same 30 respondents for pre-test will also be answering the Survey of Interpersonal Values (SIV), an inventory that measures the importance of 6 values salient to interpersonal relationships. Of the 6, the researcher hypothesize that 3 are correlated with egalitarianism: Support (receiving kind and considerate treatment; +correlation), Independence (being free to do things in one's own way; +correlation), and Conformity (doing what is socially acceptable and proper; -correlation). The SIV will be used to check the validity of the egalitarianism questionnaire.
