Psychology Learning Experience Understanding Psychology through Learning Experiences and Learning Theories

Faculty Name

Homo sapiens are referred to as human beings because they possess a complex mind that processes and stores information received as stimulus. While learning may seem easy to some people, psychologically it happens through certain processes. The learning theories are not just theoretical; they are applicable to our daily professional and personal lives. It is important to understand that learning is not only something that teachers make us do. It is also what experiences make us do. We learn through everything that we experience and then we react accordingly to similar situation.

Describing a Learning Experience

People go through different experiences. Some of the experiences are so unique that you start observing the experience process unconsciously. Due to the same reason, some people develop phobias and some develop likes and dislikes for certain things. It wouldn't be wrong to describe phobia as a learned fear that becomes persistent for example claustrophobia, fear of being locked in with no exit. However, in this essay we will keep our focus on how some people develop a liking for the fragrance of petrol and how some people feel nauseous because of it.

My Learning

Every experience is a teacher. Similarly the mere observation that people associate with petrol fragrance made me learn how a human mind can fall into the trap of its own unconscious. There are scientific realities to my learning as well. By observing these people I assessed the petrol fragrance and realized there are two things that are invisible which are actually responsible for how certain people react to petrol fragrance. Firstly, petrol fragrance is not just a fragrance...

For some people, the agent triggers nausea due to which they develop a disliking for the petrol fragrance. For me personally, the petrol fragrance triggers pleasure and every time I experience it, I want to experience the feeling again and again.
There are three key learning points that can be derived here.

1. Unconscious plays an important role in the learning process

2. Behaviors, attitudes, and preferences are developed based on the learning process

3. Every person will have a different learning experience.

Classical Conditioning and My Learning

If I wasn't self-motivated to learn about the petrol fragrance, it was easy to make me learn to respond in a certain way. Through classical conditioning, one could make a person to respond in a certain manner by pairing the conditioned and unconditioned stimulus. Since the actual trigger of feelings occurs due to the agent, the classical conditioning will involve the chemical agent (x) used in petrol.

Unconditioned Stimulus: In this particular case the unconditioned stimulus will be the chemical agent. Each human body is different. People have different addictions and allergies because each human body reacts in a different manner. Hence the chemical agent will result in a natural reaction by the human mind and body.

Unconditioned Response: The natural reaction produced by the unconditioned stimulus will be the unconditioned response which depending upon the human body type will…

Learning and Psychology Learning is acquiring a new concept, information or knowledge that adds to the individual's mental map of realities and perceptions. This new concept, information, or knowledge is almost always translated into action or manifested through new or developed behavior. Learning and psychology are linked together because both fields study the individual mind, and how the mind incites behavior or action within the individual. In the study of learning,

However, flexibility towards approaching the patent-child relationship may be necessary. The teacher must, having conditioned him or herself to assume authority without question, try a different learning technique, having met with an obstacle. Essentially, the teacher must look towards other methods of reinforcement for both the parent and child, to bring the pair back into his or her sphere of authority. One possible method is to try other ways to

These sequences included: progressive, random, anti-progressive. Results The results of this study showed that the extent of sequencing in learning and progressive training advantages cannot be completely explained by direct associations between stimulus features and the equivalent responses. These findings were shown to be consistent with the idea of perceptual learning but not with a focus on stimulus variability. Discussion The results of this study support the idea that easy-to-hard sequencing presents an

When there is a conflict between any employees within the organization, the employees can go to HR for advice on how to proceed, either through company-based mediation or to seek other legal channels of redress if necessary. Psychology Learning Outcome The best method for conducting the study would involve the use of a case study. Since this would be a group, setting, the case study method would allow the researcher to conduct in-depth investigations. Case studies offer the researcher an opportunity to use various data gathering sources like interviews, and observations (Halligan & Marshall, 2013). In order for the researcher to conduct an in-depth study of the subjects,
