QI Journal
Overview
QI drives excellence in patient care and fuels the optimization of healthcare systems (Greenes & Del Fiol, 2023). Nurses must combine their clinical expertise with QI principles in accordance with the American Association of Colleges of Nursings Essentials, particularly those emphasizing Domain 5: Quality and Safety. This journal entry is a reflection on the knowledge gained from the course, the significance of QI, a nurses role in QI, and the connection to AACNs Domain 5 competencies and sub-competencies.

This course has taught me how important effective communication and teamwork are in working towards QI goals. I can better understand my own part in the collaborative effort to support a culture of safety in my practice.
Course Infographic Reflection
The course infographic provided insights into various skills and dispositions needed for effective QI. It was helpful to see some unexpected skills, such as the use of advanced data analytics tools. For me, this knowledge will change my nursing practice by helping me to better analyze and interpret patient…
