'Health Policy and the Economy: A Vision for Healthy America.' Written by the Yale School of Management.

Author's Proposed Purpose

The article aims to inform the reader about how the economic principle is applied to health care. It goes into depth on how one portion of health care, Medicare, is administered using economic principles through Budgetary Risk Analysis. This allows Medicare to have a more efficient and effective process for managing its funds. In addition, it goes into depth on the way insurance is used to manage the health care costs for individuals who are not Medicare or Medicaid (Univ., 2021). The article is intended for various audiences, such as economics and health care students. It also intends to inform the reader how economic principles have been applied to the health care system, thus making it more efficient. The author would like to provide a brief overview of both articles and inform [the] reader of how economic principles have been applied to health care. The author's desire for this article is also to educate readers about how Medicare has been administered using economic principles via budgetary risk analysis.

Health Policy Influence Health policy has a big influence on health care leadership. The decisions made about health policy are the driving forces behind the actual health care that is offered to society (Torrens, 2013). In turn, that affects the leadership of that health care. Because leadership has a trickle-down effect on the rest of the health care industry, what leaders are required to do and the rules they have to
