Cognitive Development Activities for Infant Room

Reading stories to infants, especially those 3 to 6 months old, would benefit the infant room. The acidity is expected to promote deferred imitation as the concepts name goes in Piagets theory of child cognitive development. It refers to the childs ability to repeat or imitate an activity done with him in the past (Babakr et al., 2019). Since babies of 3 to 6 months trying to copy sounds uttered from parents mouths, they listen and try to repeat the same sounds (Raising Children, 2020-a). They attempt to reply with their unique sounds and short words. Hence, reading a story is expected to fulfill the stated cognitive development concept of deferred imitation so that they can learn to talk and respond conveniently.

Cognitive Development Activities for Early Childhood Room

Early childhood development is crucial since it enhances a childs memory, visual scanning, decision-making, and planning. Memory games could be suitable for this age group, such as recalling things displayed under a cloth in a tray and then allowing them to look at the objects for 20 to 30 seconds (Raising Children, 2020-b). Afterward, the instructor would cover the tray filled with items again with a cloth and ask them to recall as many things as possible.

According to Piagets theory, this activity would be a concrete operational stage where the child can solve complex problems and is less egocentric (Babakr et al., 2019). It is accompanied by...…proven to boost through this specific game (Aciego et al., 2012). From a psychological viewpoint, chess has even been verified to show positive academic outcomes for teens who play with the facilitation of cognitive strength.

The milestone of empowering abstract thinking and forming new notions on their own would be achieved through the selected activity since scientific thinking, and deductive reasoning from Piagets theory would be infused into the cognitive-developmental process for adolescents. They would be instigated to ponder the consequences of doing one move and its several impacts on the other chess leads. The comparisons that the teenagers mind would be able to make, along with a positive argument about whether the move should be made or not, would help instill a strong…
