In addition to the physical demands of caring for a young child, parents also need to provide emotional support and guidance. This can be a challenge, even for the most experienced parent. Fortunately, families do not have to go through this process alone. Members of the Church can offer advice and assistance, and they can provide a shoulder to cry on when needed. In addition, the Church can help to instill values in children that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. For these reasons, the Church plays an essential role in supporting families as they raise their children.

In addition, the Church offers a variety of programs and activities that can help families grow in their faith. One such program is the Family Home Evening. This program provides families with an evening each week to spend time together. During this time, families can share a meal, discuss gospel topics, enjoy fun activities, and pray together. Another program offered by the Church is Family History. This program helps families learn about their ancestors and connect with them through temple work. As families work on their Family History, they can also come to appreciate the importance of family traditions and strengthen bonds between generations. By participating in these and other programs offered by the Church, families can deepen their faith and grow closer to one another. The parish here at Lourdes Grotto Shrine welcomes all programs that help us to grow stronger, closer, and dearer to God. We have all been through hard times. The pandemic has been hard for all of us. The important thing is that now we are all together again, here united in Christ, ready to bring new souls to Him in the sacrament of Baptism.
