Beyond these motivational measures, it is essential to have an orderly means of both soliciting and receiving employee feedback about processes and the work environment. Regularly holding meetings with management accomplishes this objective. Allowing employees to have casual days in their dress code and offering options such as telecommuting also improves their quality of work life.

One of the key ways to improve an organization's ability to revitalize and develop itself over time is to adopt transformational leadership. Utilizing transformational leadership requires a substantial investment in personnel, particularly in the form of capable leaders or managers. Transformational leaders are charismatic and possess relatively high degrees of emotional intelligence. They are able to inspire and motivate others to change, and to move entire organizations toward new ways of operating.
