Vision Statement: The Family Engagement Department

It takes a village to raise a child. In our village of a classroom, we strive to welcome and engage families in every learning stage. We are committed to fostering meaningful partnerships between schools and families, teachers and parents. We can learn together and from one another. Our goal is to promote student success at every grade level. Students are given the tools needed to gain skills and knowledge so they can become active, informed contributors to the world.

We believe in the value of parent-school relationships.

Parents are integral to a childs learning.

Parents must be actively involved in a childs education.

Parents are full partners in a childs education.

Parents have a right to have a role in the schools decision-making processes.

Our values are:

1. Strong Family and Community Ties: Schools have a responsibility to open their doors and foster relationships across diverse groups of students, staff members and families.

2. Meaningful Communication: Families and schools engage in meaningful two-way communication to promote every students wellbeing and academic success. We are committed to create open channels of communication and clear expectations that support mutual communication with families.

3. Authentic Leadership: Families are encouraged to be honest with the school, and offer input to inform policy in a meaningful way. Families must help shape a schools vision, student culture and are integral to reinforcing student learning at home.

School Counseling Professional School Counseling Until recently school counseling was more of a byword because most believed that the position could be filled by any qualified teacher, and, generally, it was. Teachers would get a master's degree in guidance or vocational counseling, and be considered able to work as a school counselor. The reason for this was that counselors in schools were not seen as a person who needed to deal with

School Uniforms There are many reasons why school uniforms are common in countries outside of the United States, and are becoming more important in the United States. In other countries, it is believed that wearing a school uniform creates a "uniform" learning environment, meaning that the students are focused on the same things and there is order in the classroom. When the students do not think about what they look like

Vision Statement Discuss the way vision was used at Mentor Graphics. At Mentor Graphics Corporation, the created vision had several components, which might be regarded as questionable in terms of effectiveness. First, the vision was "unarticulated," meaning that, at best, the vision was not even a statement as such. Instead, it is likely that most employees and managers were not as such aware of the vision statement, but rather had little more

Vision Statement Ever since I was young I have always wanted to become successful. I have always wanted to be a good example and to inspire other people in their life. I have always envisioned myself as someone who leads and others follow. Above all I always have the passion of helping others (Gillespie-Brown 2012). After I completed my high school education I went to the university where I am majoring

I would say that my greatest strengths as a teacher are my commitment to improving the lives, learning, and attitude of my students and my determination to engage in intense self-scrutiny about my teaching methods. I am determined to make school a dynamic and welcoming place. Balancing the individual needs of students with the need to create an integrated and fully-functioning classroom is my challenge and the challenge of so
