Because of the enormous popularity of Snoop Doggy Dogg's "Gin and Juice" single, the proposed video will be based on a similarly styled rhythm and blues-based hip-hop song entitled "The Power of Youth." Thematically, "The Power of Youth" will not resemble "Gin and Juice," but the overall rhythm and style will. Vocals will include a choral background and familiar song structure that will grab young listeners and include all demographics. Instead of gangsta rap lyrics, the lyrics of "The Power of Youth" will concentrate on life on the streets, poverty, gender inequity, and other issues relevant in the upcoming election.

Visuals used in the music video will parallel the lyrics and theme. Instead of scantily clad ladies, ordinary women will be featured to promote numbers to the salaries of teachers, small business owners, and other working-class Americans. Footage will include Americans of all racial backgrounds to engender sympathy among viewers of multiple backgrounds. Imagery of small business owners will include restaurants, retail stores, bars, and a number of other service-oriented industries. Basically, the "The Power of Youth" video will show why Barack Obama is the right candidate for young people hoping to remain in charge of their own destiny. Limited splicing of John McCain will be used, only to feature the sharp differences between the two candidates given that the target audience is undecided voters.

Drug Culture Midterm Prior to this course, I had a very narrow interpretation of drug culture in regards to film. The films I was most familiar with were those that focused on marijuana such as Cheech and Chong films, Pineapple Express, Half-Baked, and the Harold and Kumar trilogy among others. Additionally, the only other heroin-centric film I was aware of was Trainspotting, and the only other cocaine-centric film that had made
