¶ … Sir or Madam, I write this letter as an appeal and request to continue my studies with your prestigious academic institution and department. As I am sure you are partially aware, I began my studies some years ago in the Fall of 2011. Due to a maternity leave and some other circumstances, I had to make a hard decision and pause my studies so as to focus on raising and taking care of my child. Since then, my child has aged to six years and I have had another child that is now three years old. Now that my older child is about to start school and I have the capabilities to take care of both in complete and full fashion due to a much better support system, I would like to resume my studies.

My aim and goal is to continue and complete my Master's in Development Practice. One of the related yet different subjects that I have learned over the years includes sustainable development. Indeed, the nation's population and use of resources is growing at an alarmingly high rate as compared to the resources are available and I am keenly aware that such a pattern is not something that can continue in perpetuity.
At present, I am working with the Winning Regional Health Authority within their Public Health Families First Program. I work as a home visitor that focuses on teaching mothers about positive parenting. I teach them parenting skills and strategies through the use of hands-on activities. This is done to help support the secure attachment of positive parent/child relationships. Indeed, a lot of mothers that are out there, including those that I support, are aboriginal and/or new immigrants and they need the support and services like those that I provide. Of course, the government has been a huge help in supporting these initiatives. My exposure and experience within the Thai realm has already put me in a great position to help a great many people and I wish to use the educational opportunities that you provide to further perfect and improve the skill…
